James Odegaard
( Brandy Bottle Bates / Calvin / Ensemble)
James is no stranger to rolling dice, but usually it’ s playing Yahtzee or a D20 with his weekly DnD group- he’ s greatly looking forward to testing his luck in a few games of craps in TCR’ s production of Guys and Dolls. James would like to thank his family and friends for the endless love and support.
Mike“ MO” Olinger( Lt. Brannigan / Ensemble) Mike is delighted to be back on stage at TCR for yet another musical romp with friends. You may recognize him from his past productions Hairspray( Edna Turnblad), Rock of Ages( Dennis Dupree), Disney’ s Beauty and the Beast( Cogsworth), Something Rotten!( Brother Jeremiah), and RHCR’ s production of The Rocky Horror Show( Eddie / Dr. Scott). This is MO’ s first time playing a police officer, mostly because his real-life application to the academy was rejected for‘ excessive use of jazz hands’ during the fitness test. He would also like to clarify that his knowledge of the law comes exclusively from binge-watching Law & Order and Blue Bloods. MO would like to thank his wife( Corina), his family, and everyone in the cast and crew for their love and support.
Aidan Smith( Nicely Nicely Johnson) Aidan is very excited to be a part of Guys and Dolls. Past productions at TCR include Frozen( Ensemble / Kristoff Understudy), Little Shop of Horrors( Dentist), Hairspray( IQ), and Jersey Boys( Norm Waxman). He is excited to revisit this show since last performing it at Iowa City High School in 2017. A big thank you to the directing and production team and the cast and crew for making
this musical shine, as well as friends and family for their never ending support.
Finley Stevens( Billy Perry / Ensemble) Finley is ecstatic that Lady Luck has brought them to the stage once more for Guys and Dolls. They most recently played Oaken in TCR’ s Frozen( Hoohoo!) as well as the puppeteer in Little Shop of Horrors( Feed me!). Finley would like to thank their friends for dealing with their packed theatre schedule as well as the cast and crew for always making TCR a fun and lively place to be!
David J. Summers( Harry the Horse / Ensemble) David J. Summers is ecstatic to join this incredible company as he makes his TCR debut! Guys and Dolls having been his first ever theatrical experience back in 1999, the opportunity to help tell this story again is truly a full circle moment! Favorite past productions include Company( Bobby), Oklahoma( Curly), and Pirates of Penzance( The Pirate King). Grateful to friends and family from across the decades for their unwavering love and support.
Megan Wheelock( Vernon / Ensemble) Megan is thrilled to return to the TCR stage after being seen in Frozen( Bulda, Elsa understudy), and Little Shop of Horrors( Ensemble). She recently graduated from Viterbo University’ s Conservatory for the Performing Arts with her BFA in Music Theatre and a minor in Dance. Some of her Viterbo credits include Heathers, These Shining Lives, Sweeney Todd, and She Kills Monsters. She would like to thank God, as well as her friends and family for all of their continuous support.
