GROWTECH EURASIA REVIEW A GLOBAL BRAND WITH INTENSE PARTICIPATION OF INTERNATIONAL VISITORS AND COMPANIES I nternational venue of agriculture, Growtech Eurasia 17th International Greenhouse, Agricultural Equipment and Technologies Fair has welcomed 517 companies including 160 international firms, 675 brands and 82 thousand 648 visitors including 5.381 foreign visitors on an area of 50k square meters at Antalya Expo Center under the main theme 'The Global Engagement of Agriculture and Technology' between November 29 and December 02, 2017. Organized in 5 main categories namely Greenhouse and Technologies, Agriculutral Equipment and Technologies, Irrigation Systems, Seed Growing, Seedling Cultivation, Plant Nutrition and Protection, Biological Control, Agricultural Machinery and Equipment, Growtech Eurasia Antalya enjoyed a great deal of attention 30 GULF AGRICULTURE from visitors for innovative products used in agricultural areas. In particular, driverless tractors with remote space control and self-automatic seedling planting machineries were stormed by visitors. “The highest number of exhibitors is from China with 46 companies” Mr. Engin Er, Growtech Eurasia Brand Director said, “We succeeded to increase the number of our international exhibitors by 35 percent more than previous year. Most particularly our visitors were from Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, Algeria, Israel, Netherlands, Morocco and Saudi Arabia. The highest number of exhibitors is from China with 46 companies followed by Spain, Netherlands, Italy, France, South Korea and Taiwan. The fair was a success both as to number of exhibitors and visitors. We keep competing with our own. This year, we again hit last year's visitor record with 82 thousand 648 visitors. Moreover, we hosted a Buying Committee Program within the organization of West Mediterranean Exporters Union and in coordination with the Ministry of Economy. This committee, led by 31 people from 27 companies including Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Georgia, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Sudan, Tajikistan, Jordan, made face one on one interviews with 37 exhibitor companies at fair area. Growtech Eurasia Fair this year again added value to our national economy and farmers”. Agriculture Awards, a traditional ceremony for Growtech Eurasia, was also distributed this year to add value to agricultural production and support innovative products and named as ATSO GROWTECH Innovation Agriculture Awards in cooperation with the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 'GROWTECH 2017 ATSO Innovation Agriculture Awards' Were Conferred to Winners The finalist companies at GROWTECH 2017 ATSO Innovation Agriculture Awards Contest organized in the context of Growtech Fair were conferred their rewards during ceremony attended by Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Durali Kolcak, the Chairman of Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Davut Cetin, President of the Assembly, Suleyman Ozer and Board Members Ethem Tayfun Kavukcu, Ayhan Kızılsavas and Ömer Dinç and Council Member of Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the ATSO Council Member Harun Ozturk, and the President of Turkish Union of Seed Growers, Kamil Yılmaz and the President of Chamber of Agriculture, Nazif Alp as well as many industrial representatives.
