Fender Custom Shop worked closely with not only David Gilmour to replicate the Black Strat that not only attains the look, but the unique sound and feel but also with Phil Taylor, who not only was the band's chief backline tech (who else would know the band's sound better than him, right?), he is also Gilmour's personal guitar tech since 1970.
Featuring a black nitrocellulose lacquer, alder body with black pickguard, one-piece maple neck, custom pickups, and Gilmour’s own distinctive electronics and shortened vintage tremolo arm, the David Gilmour Signature Series Stratocaster is not only pretty to look at, it's as powerful and unique as Gilmour's playing.
