I remember seeing The
Who and thinking , if they can do it , so can I .
It ’ s no accident AC / DC ’ s 1978 live album was dubbed If You Want Blood You ’ ve Got It , featuring Angus Young bloodied but unbowed with the neck of his fabled red Gibson SG thrust deep into his chest on the cover for good measure . And if there ’ s one thing these Aussie-bred hard-rock stalwarts have always known , it ’ s that you have to deliver the goods live every night you get up there , or just go home . “ Everything comes alive onstage . That ’ s where you have to prove you ’ re as good as the record ,” Angus believes .
And with AC / DC continuing to be one of the biggest concert draws there is — as the 2016 Rock or Bust Tour with Guns N ’ Roses bandleader Axl Rose as their front man readily attested — Young and company never lost sight of the responsibility they have to their audience , regardless of how big ( or how small ) it may be . “ Tapping into the feeling of it all , that ’ s what counts ,” he observes . “ You get a lot of people who say there ’ s no way to capture the feeling of
