CLASSIC CORNER: GOT YA COVERED Got Ya Covered Kirk Hammett by John Stix I’d do covers of Jeff Beck’s covers. “Let Me Love You Baby” was the first guitar solo I ever tried to figure out. I played it horribly. At one point we were going to do “Eight Miles High.” It was Cliff Burton’s idea. We had a progression all worked out. And we used to jam on it all the time in the warm up room before the gig.
