a Leppard’s lips to the ears
of The Foo Fighters,
Soundgarden, or even
Metallica. As such, Black
Sabbath’s influence is heard
in musicians decades younger giving the still contemporary band a new measure of
importance – perhaps even
bigger than in their heyday.
So with contemporary rock
and metal bands heralding an
era of Sabbath superlatives,
and keeping Steve Clark’s
words in mind, we looked into
the musical roots of Black
Sabbath. That is to say, the
American blues masters.
