I’ve ever heard for guitarists or bands looking to develop a sound came
from Def Leppard’s original guitarist, Steve Clark. In
talking about the development of style, he suggested
this: “Rather than copy the
fashionable hero of the moment, find out where his influences come from and start
from there. Then put in your
own ideas and bring it up to
today’s standards.”
