The Glamorgan Student Union have a fantastic fundraising committee that consists of enthusiastic and eager students and staff who are dedicated to help raise substantial amounts of money for charities and causes that have been chosen by the fundraising committee or an idea that has been put forward by you.
During 2011/12 we raised over £2,000 when staff went to London to participate in the Moonwalk. Through bucket collections we raised over £1,000 for Breast Cancer Care and £2,000 was raised for Testicular Cancer. This is to name but a few of the charities that we were able to help.
Fundraising can be a rewarding experience it can help charities as it has been said but the local community can benefit or it can be a way to raise the profile of your activity or cause it can also be a lot of fun.
You can get involved in many ways. Students have had cake sales, fashion shows, bucket collections walks or even marathons.
We can help you organise an event or if you would like to help with an existing one that is fine.
