Cart Storage
When your recycling and trash carts are not placed at the curb for scheduled collection , they must be stored out of public view . For example , the carts may be stored ( 1 ) in the garage , ( 2 ) behind a fence or ( 3 ) in the backyard .

Curb Placement
PLACEMENT TIME : All recycling , trash , brush and bulk items must be at the curb by 7 a . m . on your collection day . CLOSED LIDS : All cart lids must be completely closed . Recycling or bags of trash outside the cart may not be collected .
CART PLACEMENT : Carts should be placed with the wheels against the curb or at the edge of the alleyway . They must be 3 feet apart and have a minimum of 15 feet of overhead clearance so that they can be serviced on the collection day .
BULK ITEMS : Two cubic yards of large household items are collected each week , equivalent to the size of a washer and dryer .
YARD WASTE : Two cubic yards of bundled brush and / or bagged leaves are collected each week , equivalent to 12 30-gallon bags of leaves .
