Guide to International Schools 2017 | Page 2
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
When my wife, Jennie and I first arrived in Singapore eight
years ago with a very young child and another on the way,
we were worried about housing, finding Creme Eggs, and
most importantly, schooling. The worry dissipated quickly
as we realised how lucky we are to land in Singapore.
There are plenty of private schools offering a variety of
education curriculum. Some of the world’s highest ranking
International Baccalaureate (IB) schools are in Singapore,
and six of them are featured among the top 21 secondary
schools in Singapore, which itself has the best education
system in the world. So that’s no mean feat.
We hope that you find this directory a useful guide as you
navigate your way through the plethora of choices
available.
You will see that most of the prestigious schools are your
fellow Chamber members, and I’m sure they will be pleased
to help with your enquiries.
