GROUNDHOG DAY AT WHITE DEER PARK Move over , Punxsutawney Phil , Sir Walter Wally and other furry forecasters — Garner ’ s got the real deal in Snerd . Garner ’ s groundhog prognosticator and other animals from the nonprofit group CLAWS are the stars on Groundhog Day at
White Deer Park ( 2400 Aversboro Road ). There are always plenty of activities for the kids and families . Snerd reveals his prediction to the mayor at noon .
SPRING EGGSTRAVAGANZA Garner marks the end of winter at its annual Spring Eggstravaganza on a Saturday at Lake Benson Park ( 921 Buffaloe Road ). In addition to the alwayspopular egg hunts , there are entertainment , games , arts and crafts activities and more .
JUNETEENTH Garner ’ s Juneteenth Committee , in conjunction with the Town of Garner , held the Town ’ s first-ever in-person Juneteenth Freedom Celebration in 2022 at Garner Performing Arts Center . The committee intends to keep building on momentum from that inaugural event and have ever-larger events
DOWNTOWN NIGHT MARKETS The Downtown Garner Association ’ s Night Markets have been a huge success , bringing people from all over the Triangle to our historic commercial district . Join us spring through fall for the monthly markets , which showcase Downtown Garner ’ s creativity outside on Main Street . Bring the pups and the kiddos for this family-friendly event .
