Guest Hook Travel Guides England's Chichester | Page 2

THOUGHTS FROM THE EDITOR SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE... Our latest guide comes from an area very close to my heart since I grew up in Sussex not far from Chichester. I was recently away from home for nearly 2 years travelling overland from Sussex to South East Asia and on to New Zealand. Although I saw many wonderful places, I never lost a longing for the rolling hills of the South Downs, the smell of the fresh sea air, fish and chips on the beach and the comforts of a good English pub with a pint of ale. So I'm very excited to introduce our latest Insider Gayle Palmer, who knows her corner of Sussex intimately and has a real passion for the delights of this beautiful part of England. Chichester is blessed with an incredible diversity of activities within the City itself or just a short drive away. For the culture vulture there's grand architecture, ancient ruins, art galleries and live music. Nature lovers can go walking on the Downs, through ancient woodlands and along the beaches, maybe stopping at a country pub and watching the sun set over mudflats teeming with birds. The more adventurous of you can try the numerous watersports on offer and, if you're lucky, you could even get to sail with Gayle herself. If you like life in the fast lane then there's the Goodwood Festival of Speed at the iconic race track. And, just to top it all off, the range of eating options is incredible, from all flavours of international cuisine to sampling the delights of local organic food, beers and wines. There truly is something for everyone in Sussex by the sea. E: [email protected] W: www.vacationinsiders.com
