access bank day AFRICAN STYLE AMID A CLUTCH OF CAMBIASOS H istory was made at Guards Polo Club last June when three members of the Cambiaso family took to the field on Access Bank Day. Adolfo Cambiaso and his daughter Mia rode out for Access Bank, while 10-year-old Adolfito (Poroto) was in action for the opposing side. Both children have clearly inherited their father’s polo skills and it is surely only a matter of time before we see them in action in their own right. This charity day, the second year at Smith’s Lawn and 66 raising funds for UNICEF, featured two exhibition matches and included several other star players in the team-sheets, including Pablo MacDonough, David Stirling and Juan Martin Nero. Africa’s key players were also in action, including our own Damian Duncan, patron of the Delaney team. HH The Emir of Kano, who had watched the games from the Royal Box overlooking the Queen’s Ground, presented the prizes, accompanied by Herbert Wigwe and Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede of Access Bank. guards polo club official yearbook 2017
