you met people.”
Although Clive’s pro, Pete Webb, doesn’t
believe age should prevent the younger
players from accompanying their patron to
the Clubhouse bar. “It’s a respectful thing.
You don’t have to drink alcohol, but you
should go to the bar with your patron after
a game and have a chat. It’s a social thing.”
For such a competitive patron, it may
come as a surprise to learn that Clive
believes that the social side of polo is as
important as the sport and that focusing

just want to play high-goal, but people
