Ukrainian Independence Day
The Ukrainian Contingent Commander, Maj. Vladimir Kokoriev, hosted members from Multinational Battle Group-East to celebrate the Independence Day of Ukraine at Camp Bondsteel Aug. 24. The ceremony included a speech from Maj. Kokoriev, a review of the Ukrainian coy, a demonstration of hand-to-hand combat, a concert and displays of various Ukrainian Army weapons and vehicles. The celebration concluded with the hosts providing a lunch full of traditional Ukrainian food.
