Guam Kyokushin Cornerstone
Volume 1, No. 3
May 16, 2014
Elijah Guerrero in his
first international
tournament fought hard
and gave a great effort I
am happy that he did
both the kata
competition and the
kumite. He showed
great bravery."
For 2014, this new year found our youth
fighters have come a long way. For Isaac
Cabrera, Paul Aguon, Justin Leon Guerrero
and Myka Terlaje this is their second major
international tournament experience. First
timers to the event are Elijah Guerrero, Emily
Hawthorne, Justin Sablan and Jake Cabrera."
According to Sensei Tony on his website:"
“After Day one the boys did very well. Isaac
Cabrera won his first match by judges
decision, but lost to a half point decision at
the very end of his second match; it was a
very good fight. "

Next year boy we'll get 'em!"
Justin Leon Guerrero did well but I felt it
could have gone to an extension but I am
proud of him. He showed that he deserves to
be at this tournament! OSU!"
Justin Sablan in his first international
tournament did well but got eliminated by a
decision, he has come a long way and has a
good opportunity to get even better!"
Paul Aguon fought a very good opponent but
showed too that he has the tenacity to come
back next year even stronger. I have great
hopes for him as well."

And finally Jake Cabrera
fought a great match with a
good opponent, he lost by
decision but I see now jake
is finding his fight within. He
is definitely another one on
the Guam team that will
make his mark soon in
