Alternative Suya Recipes Grilled Cheese Suya Sandwich Beef Suya, Citrus and Rocket salad INGREDIENTS SERVES: 4 INGREDIENTS SERVES: 4 • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • 1 large onion, thinly sliced 2 bell pepper, thinly sliced vegetable oil salt 1 tsp cumin Freshly ground black pepper 4 sticks beef suya 8 slices white sandwich bread 1/4 c. mayonnaise 1/2 lb. sliced cheddar Method Step 1: Spread mayonnaise on one slice of bread. Top the dry side of the bread (the mayo will be on the outside) with steak and vegetable mixture and a slice of provolone. Top with another slice of bread, and spread mayonnaise on the top. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Step 2: Heat a medium nonstick skillet over medium. Working in batches, cook sandwiches until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted, about 2- 3 minutes per side. 1 red grapefruit 2 lemon 4 oranges 4 sticks beef suya 2 tablespoons honey ¼ olive oil 4 tablespoons of white wine vinegar 150 g rocket (arugula) Method Step 1: In a large skillet over medium, heat oil. Step 2: Add onion and bell peppers and season with salt, pepper and cumin. Step 3: Cook until the vegetables are beginning to soften. Step 4: Push the vegetables to one side of the pan and add the sirloin steak in an even layer on the other side. Step 5: Thinly slice beef suya, Stir into the vegetables cook for 1-2 min until the beef suya and vegetables are well incorporated. For the dressing: Add the oil , honey, vinegar salt and pepper to a mason jar and shake to mix. For the citrus salad: Carefully cut off the peel of the oranges and limes to remove the pith, then slice. Layer the orange, lemon and grapefruit slices on a plate and sprinkle generously sprinkle rockets. Drizzle with some of the dressing and top with the sliced beef suya.
