Abacha :

Also known as the African salad , this feast from the East is also colloquially referred to as African salad and is a mix of garden eggs and green vegetables , all dressed with palm oil ( a local delicacy of the Igbo tribe of Nigeria made with cassava ). It comes garnished with interesting varieties like ugwu ( vegetable ), garden eggs , onions , bell peppers and Abacha sauce . Throw in a couple of peppered ponmos ( cow skin ) to spice things up . Unlike most other street food vendors , the abacha vendors aren ’ t stationary , they move from place to place . So , it ’ s usually an adventure for lovers of abacha when they bump into one .

Akara :

The yin to puff puff ’ s yang , the king of local Nigerian breakfast . Akara is made from grounded beans mixed with pepper , onions and other spices , deep fried in hot vegetable oil until they turn into hot balls of golden brown goodness . Commonly paired with fresh Agege bread , pap , oats or custard or just as a treat on its own .
