5.3 – All drivers shall maintain a close formation during the pace lap. Drivers may not drive erratically during the pace lap or have extreme changes in speed. Drivers warming their tires by swerving may do so in a safe manner until the Steward has issued the order for the classes to tighten up for the green flag. Hanging back to gain a speed advantage on the cars ahead or to impede a fair start for the cars behind is prohibited and will be subject to penalty. The pole sitter may not balk (slow down under green) the second-place car in an attempt to catch them with a black flag at the start line. Nobody may pass the pole sitter of their class prior to the Green Flag being issued for their class.

5.4 - During the pace lap, the radios should be kept clear of non-essential chat so the Steward can announce the race starts for GT3 as described below.

5.5 – GTE STARTS: The race for GTE class will be dictated by the pole sitter as he/she enters the predesignated start zone for that particular track. The GTE class leader shall maintain pace car speed after the pace car pulls off and until they have entered the start zone. Once that leader has entered the start zone and begins to accelerate the Race Marshall will issue the green flag to the remainder of the field by keying the mic and stating "Green Green Green GTE". Drivers must maintain their columns and may not pass until they have entered the designated start zone for that track.

5.6 – GT3 STARTS: The race for GT3 class will be dictated by the pole sitter as he/she enters the predesignated start zone for that particular track. The GT3 class leader shall maintain pace car speed until they have entered the start zone. Once that leader has entered the start zone and begins to accelerate the Race Marshall will issue the green flag to the remainder of the field by keying the mic and stating "Green Green Green GT3". Drivers must maintain their columns and may not pass until they have entered the designated start zone for that track.

5.7 – In the event of a significant incident in the GT3 or GTE at the start of the race, the Race Steward may throw a full-course caution. GT3 class drivers should use prudent caution if an incident has been announced ahead.
