How to use S’more Your handy-dandy cheat sheet to the icons starting on page 5. Series Think of series programs as so much fun, we can’t jam it all into one day. We need a few Saturdays to fit it all in. Learn about The Science of Color through our friends at PPG, or become the best photo-taker ever, plus lots more. Journey Jumpstarts These programs plug right into Journeys or badges for Daisies through Ambassadors. Some cover part of the requirements — others finish the whole thing. Perfect! Family The more, the merrier! Family events are great for school-age kids. Have a spooky time at Camp Creepy or unplug and enjoy the outdoors together at a Me and My Guy or Me and My Gal program. Overnight Enjoy these overnight adventures with your best friend, your family or your troop. Lots of our overnights are held at camps, so there’s room for more amazing stuff outdoors. Think About Volunteering! Sometimes, there’s a program where we know an extra set of hands will add to its awesomeness. So, this icon lets you know we could use a little more help on this program. If you’re interested in the event already, consider this option for you or other adults in your group. If participating in the roles listed below, volunteers will have their program fee (or their daughter’s fee if there is no adult fee) reimbursed after the program. Volunteer roles may include: Event Hosts manage girls and adults checking into and out of programs. Our staff e-mail you the roster and evaluation. Easy! Activity Station Leaders help make magic happen! Our staff plan activities, but you lead a portion of it (with our support, training and materials, of course!) Looking for more of a leadership role in programming? Program Facilitators use their awesomeness for good by creating programs independently or in conjunction with our staff. Getting started with this is as simple as e-mailing [email protected]. For even more ways to lend a hand, visit gswpa.org/volunteer. Read more about some of our amazing program volunteers on page 8. 3
