Evolving Leaders Final Projects
The Evolving Leaders Tier was rewritten this year as a conversationbased course to help students understand leadership on a macro scale , ultimately asking participants to consider , “ What does it mean to a Mercy Leader in a global society ?”
The program utilizes a resource called “ World101 ” to foster civic engagement , give an overview of “ the current state of the world ” and help students to synthesize how it affects their lives and careers . We covered content relating to COVID-19 , Global Health , Climate Change , Migration , and Conflict and used articles and information from the last 6 months to help create context for these massive global issues .
For their final projects , students were asked to research anything they wanted to know more about from the conversations had during the course . Their projects range from the War in Myanmar , Migration patterns in Guatemala due to Climate Change Factors , Period Poverty , Human Trafficking , refugees , to using modern technologies to combat Climate Change .
