GSIS 2018 Yearbook: No Limits Volume 12 yearbook-reduced | Page 9

Countless possibilities and exciting opportunities surround students everyday as we are challenged in and out of classrooms, labs, and studios. We are encouraged by our teachers, mentors, and peers to discover new things about ourselves as we unravel new strengths and weaknesses. We are not just any students, but we are the Knights. We encounter stressful struggles and fail many times, but the most important difference is that we daringly conquer our limits. Our learning environment provides a safe and nutritious place for us to flourish and bloom into the best student, the best person, we can be. When they were overwhelmed with stage fright and lacked the confidence to fully express themselves, Ms. Schneider reminded her theatre students of their capabilities and hidden talents. Mrs. Laroche pushed her English students to learn unfamiliar vocabulary words and work on difficult grammar exercises, so that they could be better than they were yesterday. When they had to produce a TV show for the first time, Mr. Coleman motivated his elementary students to learn and develop new skills on broadcasting and film. Our limits can not confine us because we are consistently encouraged to try new things, to take the bold first step out of our comfort zone. We boldly raise our hands even when the answer might be wrong. We sign up for activities even if we are scared. We try our best even in the hardest subjects because at the end of the day, when the bell rings, it’ s our effort and passion that will get us where we want to be. We are learners, we are achievers, we are conquerors. We are limitless.
