1. Louie Chung, Jisu You, Jenny Kim, and Jade Hughes collaborate in completing an OPCVL for their U. S. history class. An OPCVL is used to analyze the origin, purpose, content, value, and limitations of a source. 2. E-Joon Ko helps Teddy Kwon submit his Internal Assessment for their ITGS class. For the Internal Assessment, students had to create an IT solution based on their client’ s IT problem. 3. Minsung Kim, Hunhee Jung, and Freddy Seo work on creating a poster during Bible class. The students were assigned to make posters about the Ten Commandments. 4. Teri Park and Jessie Lee complete a worksheet that would help them understand the given topics for the Theory of Knowledge External Assessment. At the end of senior year, the External Assessment gets sent to the International Baccalaureate for the IB Diploma. 5. Miyabi Kamigawa, Rose Kim, Jaclyn Kim, and Lucas Lee talk with each other while complete the OPCVL chart for history class. The source was given by the teacher for each group to analyze so that the students
could prepare for doing their own OPCVL.
6. Minji Kim raises her hand to clarify the meaning of the prescribed titles she is interested in for the external assessment. This was the class’ s first encounter with the prescribed titles. 7. Brendan Hodge and Chang Min Moon discuss which revolution to research. After choosing a revolution, students debated whether or not the revolution could truly be considered a revolution. 8. Euna Chang and Haley Park discuss their internal assessments. At this point, the students were all finished with their internal assessments and had to format and organize their files for their final product submission.
Grade 12
Although I’ m not Christian and at first I didn’ t have interest in Christianity before joining GSIS, but through Bible class, I was able to learn more about Christianity as a religion and even other religions in the world. I have learned more about God and the stories in the Bible. Bible class was really interesting.
Grade 12
We have learned a broad range of useful knowledge in TOK that we could use in real life. For example, when we look at the news article that includes biased information, TOK helped us realize if the information provided is biased or not.
