“ One design that I was most proud of was the bedroom design because I had worked hard on it. Therefore, the actual product was very neat and I think that the colors that I chose were excellent. They had a nice contrast. “ 4 “ 5 One lesson that we learned in science was density and its influence on possible real life scenarios such as how it influences cooking and swimming. With this knowledge, it can make our situations in life smoother. “ 1. Lauren Ryu plans out her design on a piece of wood. Lauren was able to start her project as she finished her planning earlier than her classmates. 2. Mya Freeman 6 and Maria Galkina measure the weight of apples as they prepare for their lab. This was their first trial. 3. Ekgara Tomar and Mathew Lee dunk pieces of apples in a beaker full of water. They were trying to see if there was a weight change before and after they changed the independent variable. 4. Leo Chun measures and cuts a piece of ply wood. The design technology class was making a smaller version of their “dream room.” 5. Woobin Cha and Colin Kim get ready to work on their “dream room” project. Woobin helped Colin tie his apron as he was having a hard time. 6. Jonathan Lee empties the beaker and carefully drains out the water into the sink. This was the final step of the lab. 7. Jeison Ward measures the weight of apples as he prepares to start his lab. Since the class was small- er, students had the option to either work by themselves or work together as 7 a group. 8. Ethan Park prepares the second part of the experiment as he waits for his pieces of apple to heat up. 9. Maria Galkina and Mya Freeman add more pieces of apple to the scale as they go for their second trial. Most of the students completed more than three trials of the Mr .
