Students were encouraged to consult Mrs. Stracke and have their idea approved before starting. 2. Malia Williams glues two pieces of cardboard together. Later on, she spray painted her artwork in silver. 3. Ja Won Park cuts a hole through a piece of cardboard. Students were told to create a 3-Dimensional artwork using only cardboard, glue, and spray paint as their materials. 4. Daniel Jeon and Navodit Maheshwari share their composition ideas for their sculptural artwork. During the Isa Genzken unit, students organized into groups and created sculptures out of trash. 5. Ms. Schneider helps Kailey Park maintain a dramatic position. Ms. Schneider then switched places with Jeison Stiven Ward, and made the students lead the rest of the improvisational skit. 6. Jude Joung acts out his death in an improvisation. Students were encouraged to use exaggerated movements and expressions to make their performance more effective. 7. Mrs. Kim comments on Aarushi Agiwal’s compositional idea for her next art project. All MYP art students were given a blank sketchbook that they filled with brainstorming, sketches, and art investigations. They were allowed to bring the sketchbooks home at the end of the year. 8. Matthew Ahn assumes the persona of a devout Christian as he delivers a monologue. He reached out his hands towards the ceiling to visually demonstrate that he was worshiping the heavens. 9. Colin Kim picks out sheets of cardboard suitable for his artwork. The materials he could use for his artwork were limited to cardboard and spray paint. 10. Jeison Ward and Jude Joung hold hands and perform a dance.
