World Languages: 2012
Entering the school year, students looked forward to a field trip.
Seeking a taste of culture beyond that of textbooks, students embarked on
a journey to the “Centro Cultural de America Latina y Museo” for a field
trip. Seeing examples of Hispanic architecture, artwork and sampling a
famous Spanish rice dish, students indulged in an immersive experience.
Bible: 2011
Looking to shake up the way students learned about the Old Testament, the Bible 8 curriculum sought a more creative approach. With
the implementation of the “Picture Bible” students were able to
absorb a more visual depiction of stories from the Bible. Combined
with skits and interactive activities, students were provided with a
holistic understanding of Old Testament events.

Heading into typhoon season at the beginning of the
year, Korea braced itself for a rough patch of weather. Heavy
winds during Typhoon Kompasu resulted in a surprise
addition to the GSIS soccer field. Taking down the fence
with it, a large tree fell down near the half line and
remained on the soccer field for a week, perplexing PE
classes and Cross Country teams before finally being
removed.

I learned about the different miracles that Jesus showed to people in
Jerusalem. As Jesus showed the miracles, I thought I should be living more
like Him , so that I can be a better example of a Christian.
