1. Jimin Son, Naksuba Suzuki, and Riker Pownall raise their bamboo swords in ready position. The students preformed “Kihap” before fighting, which is to shout
in order to ready their physical strength and harmonize with the ‘principles of nature’ when fighting. 2. Natsuba Suzuki, Haruhi Suzuku, Bowen Song, Masato
Umino, and Jacob Jung watch Ms. Perry measure out a cup of cocoa powder. 3. Uta Hasui practices her freestyle kick. The kick board allows her to keep her
balance. 4. Oliver Porter stretches his arms and body before swimming. Warming up before entering the water helps prevent injuries. 5. Haruhi Suzuki
watches Bowen Song crack an egg into the mixing bowl. The cooking club split up into pairs or small groups that cooked individual batches of chocolate chip
cookies. 6. Anna Nguyen strikes a pose during dance practice. The dance club tried out a variety of styles, ranging from the Cha Cha to freestyle.
7. Mathapelo Mabunda places her weight on her front leg and she prepares to move forward. Each student was called on to perform the hip-hop rutine
individually, then return to the floor to watch their friends. 8. Hiromichi Koyama practices his backstroke kick. At the halfway point, Mr. Jeong tapped the
students’ heads, letting them know to when to stop, and helped them get out of the water.
