They are now in
seventh grade.
The fourth graders pulled out various pieces of gym equipment to play with. Idrani Maiti
selected the cement filled walking stick to gain a
better understanding of balance. In order to use
the sticks, the student must tighten their core

1. Dharshwana Muralidharan
plays the xylophone during music class.
Students were encouraged to be expressive while
playing their instruments. 2. Mrs. Kilgore shows Evelyn Anderson how to perform a jazz square. In order to make sure the students were moving, Mrs. Kilgore often actively helped students with their dancing. 3. Varun Parasuraman, Ethan An, Noa IIzuka and Promise Yi place dodge-balls in the
center of the court. The teams worked together to arrange them before playing against each other
during the game. 4. Mathapelo Mabunda and Robyn Kim dance to the music during class. More than just
learning about instruments, students often learned to enjoy the music as well. 5. Anant Agarwal checks his progress on
an assignment using Schoology. Elementary students were required to have iPads to become more comfortable with technology.
6. After playing with various PE equipment, such as cement walkers, ropes, balls, and cones, Tanvi Mavuri returns the supplies back to their
proper storage space. Each item is labeled in the closet so that students know where supplies go and can help keep the gym organized and clean.
7. Eedo Wilson and Meisa Ogi await instruction during music class. In order to get used to playing the xylophone, students often followed in rhythm with the
teacher. 8. While learning about signs, students like Andy Umeda were given the assignment to use their iPads and look for signs around school. Once they located the
signs, they took a picture of them and answered questions about the purpose of each sign. Korean teacher Eun Park helped the students by typing up words in Korean on the iPad.
