Field trips
are a great
way to learn
outside of the
classroom!
What field
trips did you
take?
It was a pleasure to see the children grow and learn. I hope they
look back with pride and fondness
at second grade. - Paul Ciempka,
Grade 2 teacher
Students learned
grammar, spelling, the
E-Rule, cursive, and

Having a class pet is a lot of
fun and teaches responsibility.
What is your class pet?
Second grade students learned
about sound, air pressure, and
light. We are certain you have
learned something similar in
your second grade class! What
fun facts do you know about
sound, air-pressure, and light?
There are many fun tools that
students got to play with:
periscopes, flasks, board games,
eggs, and more. The students
even put on a mini-science fair
to showcase their scientific
knowledge!

This year we learned the
importance of respecting
and listening to others
by raising our hands,
walking inside, keeping
hands to ourselves,
being kind to one
another, using our inside
voices, and sharing with
others.
