Mr.
We will always remember
their first performance when they
played Pachelbel’s Canon in D. He will
live on in our hearts.
-Mrs. Reimer- Music Staff
He was a great teacher
and mentor to me. He impacted my
musical life so that I can develop
myself not only as a musician, but
also as a mature person.
-Hilary Sang- c/o 2011
He was the HEART of
the Music Department.
He was one of the
greatest teachers.
-Ms. Lyons- Music Staff
Mr. Pash was one of the
most kindest beings I have ever
met. Mr. Pash I hope to converse
and listen to more of your stories
when we meet again.
1. Seungjun Lee plays
‘Ancient Echoes of Time’ by D. Wagner
on the violin. Under Mrs. Jimin Lee’s direction, students
were able to successfully finish their individual songs. 2. Kylie Hur
and Akari Sakamoto sing Soprano for the song, ‘For the Beauty of the
Earth’ by J. Rutter. The song is about the beautiful creation that God has
made on Earth. 3. John Kim, Claudia Choi, Justin Hong and Minji Kim play
‘Camino del Sol’ by S. Hodges. The wind players harmonized through good
dynamics, rhythm and teamwork. 4. DP student, Jongwhee Jeon plays his
saxophone for the Jazz Band performance. The Jazz Band students had
played “I’ll Be There” arr. P. Murtha and “Crack it Up” by P. Broadbent.
5. Deborah Buesing sings a vocal solo for the song, ‘Almost is Never
Enough’ by Ariana Grande. She performed the song with a piano
accompaniment by Erina Sakamoto. 6. Ayaka Yamazaki, Kelly Chang
and Geena Huh watch Ms. Lyons and await her instructions for the
saxophone players. “Camino del Sol,” the piece they played, contained active percussion and transitions between Latin and rock.
7. Jade Hughes plays ‘Ancient Echoes of Time” with her cello.
Directed by Ms. Jimin Lee, the full orchestra performed the piece.
8. Brian Kim, Ji Lee, Jun Woo Park and Daniel Kim sing ‘For the
Beauty of the Earth’ by J. Rutter. They were the bass singers
who supported the Alto and Soprano singers, creating a harmony during the performance. 9. Matthias Buesing plays “Jesu,
Joy of Man’s Desiring” by J.S Bach. The high school band and
orchestra collaborated together for a performance.
10. Andrew Kim and Nick Song go through their pieces
during the rehearsal. The percussionists performed with
different instruments such as timpani, bass drum, and
bells to go along with rest of the wind players.
