were born.

1. During Math SL class, Janice Min and Emily Kim solve
questions from past IB papers. Students were tested on their knowledge
of quadratic equations and transformations of graphs. 2. During Math HL class, Jae Kim
solves an exercise on vector applications. In the following week, students took a test on vector
applications. 3. Mr. Chun explains mathematical induction to Cindy Kang. Mathematical induction is the process of proving that a certain equation holds. It has a very specific format of base
step, inductive step, and concluding statement. 4. Ian Jun, Mr. Porter, and Claudia Choi solve
sample questions on the board. Mr. Porter and his students discussed the answers together
after the students had finished. 5. Seungjun Lee reads Cajas de Cartón by Francisco Jiménez
for his Spanish HL class. HL students had to choose a work of literature and write a written
task on the book. 6. For a bell-ringer in English class, James Ahn and Loukas Kang creatively
demonstrate what they have learned during the advertisement unit. James cut out a piece of
paper explaining the rule of thirds technique and Loukas held a piece of paper with the word
‘McDonald’s’ on it to represent a previous Paper 1 formative on a McDonald’s advertisement.
7. Jinny Shin and Stephanie Kim make props for the bell-ringer. They performed a skit with signs
that said ‘FOA’ and ‘Paper 1’ on them.
