Mark Yarm created best book of the year in 2011 called, “Everybody Loves Our Town": An Oral History Of Grunge. It gives the words of musicians, producers, managers, etc. of the grunge era. It includes “The Deep Six” a compilation featuring all of the local and famous Seattle bands, to tell the success of the top four grunge bands, (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden) local bands rising from the garage, to gigs, to create legendary music, the beginning of the Sub pop label, to tthe legendary downfall deaths of the band members who died.
