BP Singapore Milestones
2007
BP Maritime Services Singapore (BPMSS) was launched on 1 August. BP’s seafaring
officers that operate BP Shipping’s international tanker fleet became officially employed by a
Singapore-based entity.
BP took the top Bunker Award 2007 at the Singapore International Maritime Awards presented
by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) from Minister of Transport, Raymond
Lim on 25 September.
2008
Wrap up of Hydrogen Refuelling Demonstration Project in March.
BP p.l.c. Chairman, Peter Sutherland visited on Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew on 10 April.
BP Singapore was certified with the Green Office label certification from 2008 – 2010 by
Singapore Environment Council for officially recognizing BP Singapore as an Eco-Office.
Visit by Minister of State, Heng Chee How at BP office to understand about our Workplace
Health Promotion programmes on 4 August.
BP Singapore won and received the Platinum HEALTH Award from Health Minister, Khaw
Boon Wan on 20 November.
2009
BP Singapore celebrated BP’s Centenary celebrations.
BP Singapore received the Global Trader Award from International Enterprise (IE) Singapore
from Minister for Trade & Industrial, Mr Lim Hng Kiang. The award recognises international
trading companies that have made a new or renewed commitment to use Singapore as their
trading base under the Global Trader Programme (GTP)
