Based on the weighted rank scores, the top two Suggested
Actions, “develop/update farm SOPs” and “develop producer
education” are clearly perceived as the highest priority, with
scores of 1078 and 961 being considerably higher than the next
highest score. The weighted scores for “voluntary veterinary CE”,
“promote use of farm SOPs”, “mandatory producer training”,
and “standardize lab data/reporting” are also strong, ranging
from 769 (“voluntary veterinary CE”) to 404 (“standardize lab
data/reporting”). Continuing down the list, a marked decrease
is noticed for “educate stakeholders”, “research on alternatives
to ABX”, “on-farm ABX use logs” and “identify changes in
resistance”, ranking from 157 (“educate stakeholders”) to 61
(“identify changes in resistance”).
Level of Agreement with Top Six Suggested Actions from Survey 1
Survey 2 respondents were provided with a list of the top
six Suggested Actions that were ranked highest by Survey 1
respondents and asked their level of agreement that these

should be included as one of the priority Suggested Actions
for the Ontario food-producing animal veterinary profession to
champion. Results are shown in Table 8.
