OF SIX PRIORITY INITIATIVES
Based on the results of Survey 1,
the six Suggested Actions that were ranked lowest,
using the weighted rank score, were removed from the list of 16.
Based on the results of Survey 1, the six Suggested Actions
that were ranked lowest, using the weighted rank score, were
removed from the list of 16. These included “surveillance
of veterinary use of ABX”, “evaluate veterinary compliance”,
“research links between ABX and resistance”, “mandatory
veterinary CE”, “research on raising animals without ABX”
and “research to identify gaps in use of ABX in practice”.
The remaining 10 Suggested Actions that were retained for
consideration in Survey 2 are shown in Table 6.

Survey 2 respondents were asked to rank the top ten Suggested Actions from Survey 1.
Table 7 presents the rank order of each Suggested Action using the weighted rank score that was calculated by Formula E.2.

When the weighted rank scores are ordered from highest to
lowest (i.e. from most popular to least popular) “develop/update
farm SOPs”, “develop producer education” and “voluntary

veterinary CE” are identified as the most popular, with scores of
1078, 961 and 769 respectively. The weighted ranked scores are
shown graphically in Figure 5.
