Survey 1 respondents were asked to select up to six priority Suggested Actions that they felt were most important .
Selecting Priority Suggested Actions
Survey 1 respondents were asked to select up to six priority Suggested Actions that they felt were most important . “ Develop / update farm SOPs ”, “ develop producer education ”, and “ voluntary veterinary CE ” were the most popular Suggested Actions ; a total of 69 %, 55 % and 51 % of respondents included these Suggested Actions in their list of top six most important Suggested Actions , respectively .
Conversely , “ research on raising animals without ABX ”,
“ surveillance of veterinary use of ABX ” and “ mandatory veterinary CE ” were the most commonly selected to be removed from the list ; a total of 28 %, 23 % and 21 % of respondents thought these should be removed from the list , respectively .
There were no significant differences between choices when respondents were stratified and compared by species , age , graduation year , and other demographic characteristics .
Ranking Priority Suggested Actions
Survey 1 respondents were asked to rank the Suggested Actions they had selected as most important from 1 to 6 . These rankings were used to develop weighted rank scores utilizing Formula E . 1 . Table 5 shows the results .

Conversely , “ research to identify gaps in use of ABX in practice ”,
“ research on raising animals without ABX ” and “ mandatory veterinary CE ” were ranked lowest .
