pologies are first on the agenda as we had a
number of difficulties with GT26. Firstly the
formatting of the magazine was wrong which
resulted in the last few words disappearing
from a couple of the articles. If this wasn’t bad enough,
the printer also dropped a clanger by printing on heavier
paper and not telling us. After sending it out we were
informed by some of you that the Post Office had demanded ‘excess postage’ before they would deliver. All
we can do is offer our sincere apologies and hope that
the problems didn’t cause you too much upset. Those
that suffered the extra cost will be offered a discount
when the re-subscriptions are sent out with GT28.

Despite these hiccups we are happy to report that the
magazine goes from strength to strength. Since going
‘glossy’ sales have been brisk and we are now out of all
back issues except Issues 12 and 23. It just goes to
show that it pays to have a subscription!

Another in our expanding series of League Guides was
published in late October with the arrival of the Eagle
Bitter United Counties League book. This is our largest
ever guide weighing in with 80 pages in a similar style to
the magazine. For ordering details please see the advert on page 79.
As we put the finishing touches to this Issue news was
still awaited on the National Stadium. Colin Peel brings
us up to date on page 45 but the final decision has still
not been made. After all the stadium construction of the
last 10 years it still seems ludicrous that this nation
cannot fund a new stadium for prestige annual events.
The World Cup has passed us by so now too have the
World Athletics Championships. When will pride be
restored?
