West Stand
Woodland Field ground. New changing rooms were erected on the ground, the stand was refurbished and perimeter fencing was put in place to meet the League's requirements.
Cwmtillery had previously used this ground for reserve games in the North Gwent League, as they
used the Colliery Field ground a few hundred yards away for first team games in the Gwent County
League. However, that ground - although extremely well-appointed- was unable to meet Welsh
League criteria in one significant respect - the cost of erecting covered accommodation on the reclaimed colliery land was prohibitive.

Part of a £250,000
development that has
also seen the erection

fast becoming one of
the most attractive and
best equipped grounds in the national league. (Pictured above and below by Vince Taylor)
