Gloucester City Floodlights stadium, was another matter. Set in a natural bowl, the few facilities that existed were gathered on the Horton Road side of the arena. The superstructure of the grandstand would have been familiar to regular supporters, as it had formerly seen service as a covered terrace at Longlevens. Given a fresh lick of paint, it had been reassembled over the top of seven rows of terracing, where in blocks of different colours 472 tip-up seats had been fixed. Bench seating to accommodate an additional 500 spectators was planned for the area in front of the stand, but like much else at the ground, the extra seating failed to materialise.
