Our regular round-up from the grounds on the non-league circuit
TELFORD UNITED (Nationwide Conference)
Telford returned to the New Bucks
Head in October after spending the
early part of the season groundsharing at Worcester City. A temporary
capacity of 2,300 has been set as
work continues on the £10.7 development at the Shropshire club. Two
sides of the ground are currently
open, the David Hutchison Stand
(pictured right by Mick Blakeman) and the East Terrace, while the Bucks End terrace should be completed by the start of next season. Work on the three tier West Stand is due to commence in
January 2001, and though not due to be finished until some time next season, its projected 2,500
seats should be in use by August of 2001.
BAMBER BRIDGE (Unibond League) - The new £250,000 main stand at Irongate was opened to
spectators for the first time in early September.
Seating 500, this handsome addition to the Lancashire club’s ground will also include new dressing rooms and other facilities when completed
(pictured above by Tony Cunningham).
FROME TOWN (Screwfix Direct League)
