Welcome to our 125 issue, which you will notice has had a bit of a style refresh. Added to this, it’ s our biggest ever edition, a whopping 104 pages to celebrate reaching the 125 milestone.
Many of you will know that our friend Pete Miles passed away at the beginning of March. His unexpected passing was a huge shock to all that knew him. Pete made many contributions to this magazine and the books that we have produced and was a very popular man with fellow groundhoppers. In this issue we pay tribute to Pete and try to do at least a little justice to some the achievements of his lifetime. Our cover picture shows the lights of Roots Hall, Pete’ s favourite and most-visited ground.
There’ s plenty to enjoy in this issue, including a preview of the venues for this summer’ s World Cup, a nostalgic look back at Waterlooville’ s former Jubilee Park and a fond farewell to Workington’ s Borough Park. We hope you enjoy it, and the bonus of 24 extra pages!
