Inside is the plaza area, sitting to the stadium’ s east side. Here there are various refreshment outlets and, for this game at least, a stage with live music. A walkway runs around the stadium’ s perimeter. The north and south ends overhang at either end and a tunnel provides access to the west side. Bricks carved with supporters’ names are set into the ground at the south end meaning this area was particularly busy with Everton fans looking for their personalised bricks.
Inside, the stadium is formed in a bowl of two tiers of blue plastic seats with a line of executive boxes on the east and west sides. The ends differ, with the north end’ s top tier dipping down to form a smaller upper tier and the south being a single sweep‘ wall’ of seating, albeit accessible on two levels.
