Notes : It ’ s almost Christmas and uniquely , top level football is on a winter break due to a World Cup . Hopefully the lower level teams that are continuing to play will see the benefits of fans wanting to see live action and we could be in for some bumper attendances over the festive period . In this issue we have our usual mix of news and contemporary and historical ground articles ranging from century-old grounds to those that have been left damaged by bombs .
