Notes : With the darker nights now upon on us and Christmas looming , at least this year we can look forward to having football matches to attend to relieve the gloom . This time last year we were heading for a third national lockdown and the prospect of seeing live football was minimal . Since the easing of restrictions it appears people are making the most of being able to go to matches again , with attendances , particularly at non-league level , booming . COVID is not over , and we have yet to see what happens in the winter , but hopefully we are past the worst without , it seems , football suffering too much .
