TURF MANAGEMENT on Consolidate knowing that we’ re going to get a better result.”
Whilst pitch recovery is important, a significant issue in the industry is disease. With fungicides becoming weaker due to regulations, James has collaborated with Anthony to develop a programme that enhances the plant’ s natural resistance to disease with significant effect.
“ Using Consolidate, we’ re able to be proactive rather than reactive against disease,” James explains.
“ We’ re able to put tank mixes together in the rain and give the plant what it needs to combat disease from within rather than spraying on top and beating it that way.”
Just as valuable as the results on the pitch has been the service and expertise that comes with it. James says the support from
Consolidate product specialist Anthony Asquith has played a key role in helping the team get the most from the programme.
“ I learn something new every time Anthony visits. He’ ll go deep into the science, but it always comes back to practical results,” James explains.“ He provides support when we need it, and he’ s willing to show us every aspect of the products and talk things through because he knows the products work.
“ By working with him and trialling them, I’ ve been able to get my head around it because everything’ s been so structured in the industry before now with how and when you apply granulars and liquids. Once Anthony got me to think of the Consolidate products as a liquid granular, I got it, and we started getting the best from them.”
