In professional grounds maintenance, efficiency and consistency are everything. Whether maintaining sports pitches, public spaces or large estates, operators are constantly balancing productivity with presentation. One of the most routine- and often repeated- parts of the job is adjusting height of cut. Trimax’ s OptiAdjust system is designed to make that process faster, easier and more precise.
Traditionally, changing height of cut means stopping work, leaving the tractor and manually resetting the mower deck. It’ s a task carried out multiple times a day as conditions change, adding time and interrupting workflow.
Adjust on the Move
Trimax’ s OptiAdjust, available on the Pegasus S5, allows operators to control cutting height directly from the tractor via the Trimax Connect app. Using a Bluetooth connection to a mobile device or tablet, height adjustments can be made quickly and accurately without leaving the seat.
The ability to adjust“ on the fly” supports a more responsive approach to mowing. Operators can adapt to changing turf conditions and site requirements as they happen, maintaining consistent results across multiple locations in a single pass.
Case Study: MW Agri
For Buckinghamshire-based contractor MW Agri, one of the first UK businesses to invest in OptiAdjust through local dealer George Browns, the benefits have been immediate.
Covering around 250 acres each week- from polo grounds and sports pitches to parks and private estates- efficiency is critical.
Before OptiAdjust, managing director Malcolm Weaver and his team were manually adjusting cutting heights several times a day.
“ We were sometimes changing the height three or four times a day,” he explains.“ That meant stopping, getting out, often lying on wet grass- it all adds up.”
To stay productive, heights would often be set for the day, even if it meant skipping nearby sites that required a different finish and returning later.
