PITCH & LINE MARKERS

Ten Years of TinyMobileRobots:

A Decade Marking the Future of the Game

A nyone who has ever shouldered the responsibility of marking a pitch knows the pressure: the early mornings, the tight deadlines, the volunteer no-shows, the constant pursuit of straight, clean lines. For years, manual marking was simply“ how it’ s done”- until one simple question sparked a revolution: Why can’ t this be easier?

That question became the foundation of TinyMobileRobots. Ten years ago, what began as a small Danish start-up set out to solve a very real groundskeeping frustration. The first prototype was built not to replace grounds staff, but to empower them, to take a slow, manual, weather-dependent task and turn it into something fast, accurate, and reliable. That spark has since grown into an international success story.
A decade on, our pride comes not just from longevity, a milestone few start-ups reach, but from the extraordinary growth and refinement that have defined these ten years. From our first delivered robot to today’ s advanced fleet used across grassroots clubs, elite training grounds, schools, and councils, every step has been guided by real-world needs and expert feedback.
At its simplest, our technology acts like a digital groundskeeper’ s tape measure that never makes a mistake. High-precision guidance ensures perfectly placed lines, while automation reduces ground compaction by limiting unnecessary passes. With cloudbased pitch management, staff can store templates, schedule work, and track paint use from any device, removing the guesswork from dayto-day operations.
In communities across the country, where volunteers are fewer and workloads heavier, automation has become a lifeline. Our robots eliminate repetitive strain, speed up preparation, and make line marking accessible to anyone. By keeping pitches ready for play, they support what matters most: getting children outdoors, active, and enjoying sport.
The next decade promises even smarter tools, more sustainable systems, improved fleet coordination, and deeper integrations with turf-care platforms. Our goal remains the same: to be a trusted partner that lifts the profession and sets new standards across every level of the game.
To the UK groundskeeping community, thank you for shaping our journey. Your expertise, honesty, and passion have marked every milestone of these ten incredible years. Here’ s to many more lines, many more pitches, and many more seasons- together.
