Makita UK has introduced two new high-capacity batteries for its 18V LXT cordless range— the world’ s largest compatible cordless system. The new BL1890( 9.0Ah) and BL18120( 12.0Ah) batteries feature more cells and increased electrical capacity, delivering significantly longer run times so users can work for extended periods on a single charge.
Previously, the largest available Makita LXT battery was 6.0Ah. The introduction of these higher-capacity options represents a major step forward in productivity, reducing downtime and the need for frequent battery changes.
Both new models also offer enhanced durability, incorporating a shock-absorbing structure similar to that used in Makita’ s 40Vmax XGT batteries. This design improves impact resistance and helps protect against damage from accidental drops.
