platform to announce and reflect on one of GMA’ s most exciting new initiatives to date: 35 under 35, our fresh commitment to recognising young professionals and volunteers who are already making a real difference in grounds management.
Why 35 under 35?
We know that securing the future of our sector depends on recognising, nurturing and inspiring new talent.
Grounds management is essential to the quality, safety, accessibility and longevity of green spaces- from elite stadia to local community venues. Yet, it remains underappreciated. With 35 under 35, we intend to shine a spotlight on individuals under 35 whose creativity and leadership already stand out.
Supported by ICL, 35 under 35 is more than an accolade. Alongside recognition across GMA and industry channels, our aim is to provide real-development benefits: access to technical and agronomic training designed by GMA and ICL, networking opportunities with senior peers, as well as unique exposure at SALTEX.
Since launching earlier this year, we have been overwhelmed by the quality of the nominations. The judging panel conducted a blind assessment to select the first cohort of winners, reflecting all facets of the industry from professional sports grounds and grassroots pitches to facility operations, sales, horticulture and beyond.
