SIS Pitches Makes Landmark Investment in Next-Gen Hybrid Pitch Stitching Machines
IS Pitches has made a
S multi-million-pound investment in 16 stateof-the-art hybrid pitch stitching machines, significantly advancing speed, efficiency, and flexibility in hybrid pitch installations.
Designed in response to the growing demands of multi-use stadiums, these patented machines increase fibre injection rates, promote stronger root systems, and reduce pitch recovery times.
This innovation addresses the tightening timeframes faced by stadiums hosting a mix of sports fixtures and non-sporting events like concerts and exhibitions.
Thanks to their compact design, two machines can now be shipped in one container, and used together, they can reduce a standard pitch installation from ten days to just over three. This represents a time saving of up to 75 %, already proven at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, where a full pitch was completed in just three and a half days ahead of the Club World Cup.
The fleet includes two models: Pro-X, for large football pitches( such as at Celtic Park and Borussia Mönchengladbach), and Spin-X, the first hybrid machine tailored for cricket, offering a lighter build and custom wicket options.
Each machine features a patented drum mechanism for faster stitching, a precision cutting system, and a configurable stitching depth from 45mm to 180mm— far exceeding the two fixed depths typical of competing machines.
It also supports various spacing options( 15x20, 20x20, 30x20), allowing custom reinforcement based on climate, usage, or budget. One standout configuration is SIS
Pitches’ GameReady Hybrid— a pre-stitched, ready-to-play hybrid turf solution. Installed in stadiums like MetLife( NY), Camping World( Orlando), and Bank of America( NC), it enables rapid turnaround between events.
Ivo Lamot, CEO of SIS Pitches, commented:“ This investment reflects our commitment to innovation and to supporting stadiums under pressure to deliver world-class pitches in less time. With our new machines, we’ re making hybrid technology faster, better, and more accessible, helping venues host more events and maximise revenue.”
Deployment of the machines began in July, with units stationed across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and a mobile set ready for global use.
